Short description

A screen ruler, digital level, tone generator and sound analysis in one app.

Full description

Measure and explore with four tools on your Android phone. Calibrate the screen ruler, check tilt with the digital level, generate sine, square or triangle tones and run frequency sweeps.

Sound Meter offers live levels, an oscilloscope and an FFT spectrum. Switch views while keeping measurements and controls visible. Read the built-in Help before your first measurement; calibration and session saving have dedicated dialogs.

Save ruler and level readings, tone presets and sound-level sessions locally. Choose a light, dark or system theme and configure screen wakefulness and level haptics. The current development version works offline without an account.

Measurements depend on the phone and calibration. Sound levels are shown in dBFS until a reference adjustment is applied; adjusted SPL remains an estimate. Start generated tones at low volume. Published by Praxis Science Lab.

Data safety worksheet

Candidate: no off-device app data collection or sharing found in the reviewed implementation. Local-only processing is different from collection in the Play form. Verify the exact signed package, included SDKs and every active release before submitting.

Ruler and level measurements, tone presets, sound-level statistics, session names, calibration profiles and preferences are stored on the device. Microphone samples and waveform/spectrum frames are processed temporarily in memory. They are not saved as audio files or transmitted. Saved sound sessions contain numeric level statistics and the recent level graph, not audio or analysis frames. The current version has no account, advertising, analytics or cloud service.

Microphone permission is requested when starting Sound Meter. It can be denied or revoked in Android Settings; the other tools do not need it. The level uses available motion sensors. Audio capture and tone playback stop when the app leaves the foreground. The current Android application declares no Internet permission. Advertising is planned for a future version; this notice will be updated before advertising is enabled.

Media

Capture at least two authentic screenshots from the final app. Do not use simulated screens, synthetic medical fixtures or old-brand captures. Screenshot language must reflect the actual app; English captions do not imply an English-only interface.
